There's nothing better than a Brazilian steakhouse, especially at Nabrasa up in Horsham, where we had a great family get-together and dinner and certainly got our fair intake of beef!
Samantha and her friend Aleks spent the day in NYC and caught the musical "Some Like It Hot" on Broadway. Samantha also highly recommended Sensa Gluten, a GF restaurant in the city.
OK, I'll admit it - we were late to the game, decorating both inside and outside on Christmas Eve, but we got it done, and the outside was lit up for the first time in a long time!

Nicolas starring as Percy Jackson in "The Lightning Thief" at Drexel was his first big show in a while, and he certainly didn't disappoint. What a great show, and with him on stage for all but 2 minutes of the show there was plenty to see. Check out the pics to see Nic on display on the windows just outside the theater as an extra bonus.

Attended the annual KofC Deceased Members Mass followed by the annual Past Grand Knight Dinner.
Ed waited too long, and had terrible headaches every day right up until the surgery. Thankfully he had a skilled oral surgeon take care of me, and the pain is a thing of the past. He was super swollen though. Damari thought there was a resemblance.
As long as I've know our friends Trish and Jeff Davis I've known that in addition to wonderful people and friends that they are musicians, but never had the good fortune to see them perform. We finally had our chance and watched them perform at a Fall show/fundraiser for the historic Newtown Theater. It was a great night of music!
Ed, Damari and Samantha got to witness an incredible show by Pink (with Brandi Carlisle as a terrific opening act) ending with her flying right by us in our seats in the upper section - it was crazy!
Samantha presented her high-tech poster at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Chevy Chase MD - since her work is very visual the high-tech posters let her show off her research on a large interactive touch screen to present her videos in a new way which she really enjoyed. She also loved the fact that she got to visit DC, one of her favorite places to be!
Maybe not a traditional back to school photo but Mr. F is back at Penn Valley for another year of SPARK - I'm sure his students are happy he's back. In the pics there's an article from Pennsbury on Point showing him at his best with the kids as well - I heard that the "Mr. F" chants were pretty loud in the gym that day! Making us proud always...
Ed was very proud of Angelina as she played a great volleyball game that he was able to attend.
Looking out the window one day in the yard and yet another tree is down. Luckily the tree guy got it cleaned up quickly.
Annual Knights of Columbus breakfast with Ed and his brother Knights, and Angelina and her 8th grade class were presented bibles by the Knights as well.

After dropping off Nic’s tuned-up bike Ed caught a quick ride with Nicolas along the Schuykill River and enjoyed the sites - luckily getting it done just as the rain stared. Great afternoon to relax and take some time enjoying the ride with each other.
Psychedelic Furs and Squeeze at the Met Philadelphia! Lots of old folks like us were there… it’s was at least 30+ years since one of these concerts.
Got a leisurely 10K done at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire and a not so quick stop at Chocolate World. Damari put her hair up to use her new sword hairpin with a really cute dice made by her favorite dice and more creators Attic Arcana.

We got lucky and won lottery tickets to see Moulin Rouge for under $100, so we decided to make it an overnight in NYC. The next day we visited the Vessel, the Highline, Chelsea Market, Starbucks Reserve Roastery, Little Island, Canal Street and of course no trip to NYC is complete without pastrami from Katz Deli And what a bonus, we found a Gluten Free Churros place right near Katz’s - dessert heaven for Ed!
We spent the day in Wildwood and Cape May, NJ and got another incredible 5K+ walk in that ended with a romantic and amazing sunset at Sunset Beach.
Early church, great breakfast at Sabrina’s in Philly, followed by a little Ocean City swim and Chickie and Pete’s. My kind of day!
Had to get creative about our almost 5K nightly walks. We strolled to the sound of the ocean’s waves just before sunset in Asbury Park, NJ. The view was a feast for the eyes.
Anthony and Macy drove north up the Delaware River to enjoy a day of tubing.

Loved all of the experiences, and tried to capture thoughts all in one place, as well as a summary of the activities with some links to some of the highlights and some recommendations should anyone be thinking about a similar trek. Great time with great company with Ed, Damari, Anthony, and Macy - blessed to share this special time with them!

Samantha's transitioned to the official designation as a PhD candidate this year. Nicolas was cast in "Songs for a New World" at Drexel University where he performed "She Cries". So great to see him on the stage doing what he loves to do.
It was a great day of service helping collect food with my brother Knights for the Letter Carriers Food Drive. It was a good day to stay positive, be grateful, and do something kind for others.

Damari continued in her role as Assistant Director for the PHS Drama Troupe, and in April they presented "12 Angry Jurors". One of the alumni (along with some others) visited as well.
Nicolas started his 2nd Co-Op internship while at Drexel University, this time with Goldman Sachs in Wilmington, Delaware. Nic really enjoyed his time and was grateful for such a wonderful learning experience with a great group of colleagues. He was even able to get up to NYC to work at their World Headquarters location.
Samantha Fallacaro’s birthday weekend wishes included Nando’s and the cherry blossom festival. 14,000 steps later she got her wish. Fun beautiful day in DC for all of us.

Damari visited the Pennsylvania State Capital with members of the PHS Drama Troupe to advocate for "Theatre in our Schools Month".
Damari participated in the "Polar Plunge" at Pennsbury High School to help support Special Olympics and Unified Sports.
Samantha took the opportunity to attend a conference in the Windy City that was focused on fruit fly research, and also presented a poster at the event. And, there was Nando's near the hotel, one of her favorite restaurants.
